Matt Cutts, head of web spam at Google, posted a video answer encouraging webmasters not to use article directory web sites for link buildings.

Matt Cutts replied on this to not use Article Directory only for building back-links. Here is that Tweet and Video, Please watch:

Now everything is clear here, If you want to improve your ranking in Google search engine than stop all kind link-building strategies. Your Content should be unique and high quality content.

In 2014 one cannot fool Google by generating spam links. Actually I am happy with all the Google updates, because it removed all copy paste guys from SEO industry. I think it would be shocking news of SEO outsourcing companies who are dedicatedly doing Article Submission.  A lot of companies are paying huge amounts of money for this kind of strategy. Article directory submission has been very effective in traditional SEO, but with the new algorithm that Google is implementing right now, I don’t think it’s still going work.

In his most recent video about Faebook and Twitter Cutts also confirm that they are not counting the links from these sites.  I think this is big challenge for everyone because till date most of the webmaster are involving in such link building strategies but they have to think about On Page Optimization as well as high quality Content.
