1. Make a Unique twitter Profile:
Your profile and User name are the first thing which attract user and force him to follow. In bio section give some details about yourself, your interest and your Profession. No Need to write full details just Use some basic details. Apply background Image and a Header Image along with your Profile Picture with clearly appears Head shot. You can see below I have managed all these things.
2. Add your Blog/website URL:-
I have seen that Most of the twitter User don’t use their Blog/website URL but If we are SEO Expert and working for a Project then this is very important to give a blog URL. It helps your followers to understand that you have owned a website as well as anyone can visit.
3. Niche related Username:-
Your username is very important. You have to pick a username that is targeted to your niche. For example, if you are promoting your SEO services and want to drive traffic to your SEO site, you can choose something like seogeeks, SEO company, SEOguru. Few time before, I was very confused with User name. As I have already told that I am very Active and big user of Twitter that’s why approx 4 years before I have given Adesh_Saxena as user name to my twitter Account. When I start blogging on Devetol then I change twitter User name devetolcom but after few days I change Adesh_Saxena.
4. Search for Twitter users with similar interests:-
You might have millions of friends, but more followers are always welcome. Follower having same interest will be helpful for you. In this situation make use of # tag as well as use @ tag. You can also find and increase twitter followers of your interest from www.twellow.com
5. Send the link to your profile to your friends and Followers:-
As you know twitter accept only 140 characters, in this case don’t use full URL, just use shorten url tool like bit.ly or goo.gl. You can also use http://talltweets.com/.

It will hurt and in return might be you lose your followers. Connect your twitter Account with your Facebook and other social media sites to get advantages. keep in mind about Social Manners , if once you caught spamming by any of you followers he will stop following you.
8. Use of Twitter Feed and Dlvr.it:-
